Mental Health Association of Northwestern PA

I am very proud to have been a part of the Mental Health Association Family

When asked to write something up about the Mental Health Association and my experience here, it is very challenging to sum it all up. The Mental Health Association has always been a place of interest for me before I even had to obtain an internship. I first started out volunteering in the computer lab as a freshman at Gannon and even then I was recognized as an important asset to the organization. The staff, members, and even outside agencies that the MHA partners with are all very accepting and welcoming to the volunteers including the interns. I feel as if I am a part of a bigger family now. I will always recommend the MHA to individuals for the exceptional services that they provide and offer to individuals with mental health diagnoses. I appreciate and admire the dedication to all the staff but especially to Rita as the volunteer coordinator who supervises the interns. It is never a dull day at the MHA and I always felt safe and respected as a part of the organization. I am very proud to have been a part of the Mental Health Associations family and truly saddened that my time as an intern has come to an end. If being awarded the “outstanding field agency” from Gannon University doesn’t show how exceptional the MHA really is than I hope individuals will have the opportunity to see for themselves.

Thank you

Sincerely,

Courtny Morgan
