Give Kids A Smile 2006
Summary of Event
The Mental Health Association was very glad to participate in the "Give Kids a Smile and Sealant Day" held at the Booker T. Washington Center on Saturday, February 4th. The event was very well attended with over 65 children from Erie County. These children received a free dental assessment along with cleanings, treatments and sealants.
Several local vendors, including the MHA, attended the Health Fair to provide information and entertainment. There were many activities for the children to participate in while they waited to see the dentist or dental hygienists such as games, raffles giveaways, storytelling and videos. Healthy snacks were also provided free of charge.
After their visit with the dentist, the children were given bags of goodies that included toothbrushes and toothpaste.
